Where can I get hold of insurance?

We often get asked about getting insurance for your Dutton. We would recommend using a specialist kit car insurer, and below are a list of companies that have been recommended to us, or have asked us to publicise their services. The DOC does not endorse any particular company.

Some insurers may offer a discount to members of the Dutton Owners Club, so it is worth your while to mention you are a member at the time of requesting a quote. You will have to send proof of membership. Insurers also tend to offer limited mileage policies, typically 3,000, 5,000 and 7,500 limits per annum, which may be an option if you are using your car for pleasure and wish to keep insurance costs down.

  Northern Towing Services is a small company based in the North of England that specialises in trailer transportation of Cars and also Caravans. We offer an insured service and operate throughout the UK. The services we provide include the collection and delivery of vehicles, our car transporter is fitted with a winch, so non runners for restoration are not a problem, and a weekend service is also available.

I offer a personal service and DOC members would be dealing with me directly.

Car trailer hire. He has an Ifor Williams HD136 (14' bed 2600kg max gross weight) which is available for hire.

 

2009 rates are:

£40.00 per day (24hrs) less £5.00 DOC members discount.

£70.00 for 2 days (48hrs) less £10.00 DOC members discount.

 

The trailer can be collected from their depot in Peopleton, Worcestershire or delivered to you for an additional fee.

Alternatively if you need a vehicle collecting then this service is available at 70p / mile for the first 200 miles then 55ppm there after all subject to a 5ppm DOC members discount. Mileage based on AA autoroute from his base in Peopleton via collection and drop off points back to his base.
